![]() What is the difference between a Sativa &
Indica?
Sativas Are tall, thin plants, with much narrower leaves and grow a lighter green in color. They originally come from Colombia,
Mexico, Thailand and Southeast Asia. Flavors range from earthy to sweet and fruity. Sativa's higher THC than CBD equals cerebral,
soaring type of high, more energetic which can stimulate brain activity and may produce hallucinations. The sativa strains are more of a stimulant, effective in appetite stimulation,
relieving depression, migraines, pain and nausea
![]() Indicas Usually a heavy smoke, they originally come from the hash producing countries of the world like Afghanistan,
Morocco, and Tibet. They are short dense plants, with broad leaves and often grow a darker green.
![]() The buds will
be thick and dense, with flavors and aromas ranging from pungent skunk to sweet and fruity. The smoke from an Indica is generally
a body type stone, relaxing and laid back. Indica's higher CBD than THC equals a much heavier, sleepy type of high. According to the anecdotal evidence, the indica strains are a relaxant, effective
for anxiety, pain, nausea, appetite stimulation, sleep, muscle spasms and tremors, among other symptoms. The sativa strains
are more of a stimulant, effective in appetite stimulation, relieving depression, migraines, pain and nausea.
Indica and Sativa are the two main varieties of the cannabis plant
used as medicine. There are many strains that are crosses of those two varieties. Within each of those varieties and crosses
there are a huge number of individual strains, each with a different cannabinoid profile and effect.
What is the difference between ingesting and smoking: Ingesting marijuana infused foods has many benefits over smoking
it, the most important of which is the bypass of dangerous chemicals entering the respiratory system. Carcinogens and tars
are largely left behind in the preparation for eating and are not released into the lungs. Also, ingesting it leads to a markedly
different experience from smoking. Eating marijuana-infused preparations usually leads to a longer, stronger, and much more
physical high than smoking alone. Although eating is a perfectly viable way of absorbing marijuana into the bloodstream, higher
amounts of the drug must be used in a cooking preparation in order to make the product effective.
Smoking delivers more THC to your neuron’s synapse quicker,
via direct contact to your lungs alveoli therefore blocking dopamine quicker. Ingesting it causes the THC to be put into the
bloodstream via digestion, therefore delivering smaller doses in a longer span of time. That’s why smoking it lasts
1-2 hours but eating it can last up to 8 hours.
In conclusion, ingesting marijuana is a different and healthier alternative for those who use it for medicinal purposes. Once again, the versatility of the cannabis plant will always show its true colors. ![]() What is Serenityleaf.com serenityleaf.com is a Medical Marijuana collective home delivery that serves the Los Angeles communities. Don’t Consent to a
Search! If the cops say: “Do you mind if I look in your purse, bag or car?” You say: “I do not consent to a search.” When cops say: “Why not? Are you hiding something?” You say: “I believe in my Constitutional right to privacy and I do not consent to a search.” Note: this probably will not stop an officer from searching you, but it can help get any evidence thrown out in court. Search Warrants: Do NOT let an officer into your home without a search warrant. Check the address, the date (reasonably recent), and a judge’s signature. If law enforcement knocks on your door, step outside and close the door behind you while you find out why they are there. Don’t leave the door open. If they do enter your home with or without a search warrant, say “I do not consent to a search.” Exercise Your Rights! There are 3 levels of police interactions and safe ways to handle each encounter.
